Lot 1607 Marlin 336 S.C. .30-30 Win #K18762

Marlin tube fed lever action sporting carbine chambered in .30-30 Winchester. Manufactured circa 1953 ('K' prefix) in New Haven, CT. It features a blued finish, 20" barrel, 3/4 tube magazine, ramped blade front sight with brass bead, adjustable rear sporting sight (missing elevator), smooth curved trigger, partially serrated hammer spur, swivel stud insert in the buttstock, smooth wood forend with metal cap, and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with a factory checkered plastic buttplate (may not be the original buttplate). The overall finish is approximately 75% showing light scattered rust, edge wear, and most of the finish missing on the lever and towards the muzzle. The action is smooth, the bore is dirty with strong rifling. The wood stock is serviceable with a buttplate that may not belong, and a round patch towards the butt that looks like it was to fill a hole. The handguard has handling scratches.
